My name is Lisa, I’m 21 year old and I’m french.

I’m not a travel blogger, or someone who makes money traveling, so this isn’t going to be about the glamorous life of an extraordinarily adventurous person.

I’m just a normal person. I have a family, I have friends, I have expenses, I have to work to make money to be able to live  and sadly I don’t have parents rich enough to pay for me to travel the world. I’m scared, not very brave, I have the tendency to not think things through sometimes and I give up a bit too easily.

But this is a travel blog. And I guess it is going to be about the destinations and about the discoveries. But I want to focus on the practical side of things.

I’ve been looking online for stories and testimonies of people traveling the world, not as a holiday but as a lifestyle, and I’ve read dozens and dozens of blog posts about “How To Start Traveling” that give almost no practical advice.

On this blog, I want to write about the whole process, not just the pretty things. I want to write about making the decision, about planning things out, about the waiting and the paperwork, about having to work to earn money, about all the good things and all the bad things.

This is mostly for me, as a form of diary, a way to keep trace of where I am now and where I’m going to be in a few months or a few years. It also allows me to write about something that matters to me, in a way that makes me feel better.

But this is also for anyone who is wondering how they really do it, behind the pretty pictures and the enthusiastic blog posts. What is real life as a traveler like?

This is for anyone who is dying to just go but is too scared to do it, for anyone who read dozens of travel blogs and thinks they’d never be able to afford this, for anyone who thinks they couldn’t do it because of mental illness, for anyone who doesn’t know if they could handle the opinions and judgments of everyone they know, for anyone who thinks they don’t have enough money or qualifications for this.

I think I can do it, and I think you can do it.

And I’m gonna show you how I do it.
